Raise the Bar

The bar is raising anyway - it's up to you whether you're the one raising it.

Have you thought about the fact that the work of others has a direct impact on the perceived value and quality of your work?

We live in a world where people are constantly comparing experiences they have both through time and across companies and brands.

What you were doing 5 years ago, if it hasn't evolved and improved, isn't good enough anymore because people's expectations have been raised and experiences have been improved by other brands.

In fact, what you were doing 5 months ago may not be good enough any more.

So the solution then has two options:

1: keep up with the rate of changing expectations (driven by external forces)

or

2: be the one raising the bar

Personally, I'd rather opt for Solution 2.

Thanks for spending time with me in my workshop,

Eric
