And Then What?

Think about what happens after “the thing” happens.

Here's a question that doesn't get enough air time: "And then what?"

The past few weeks, I've been reflecting on this question and have come to the conclusion that it is a critical one, though often overlooked.

Critical, because we need to be thinking about how one action bridges to the next.

Overlooked, because often we're focused on achieving the first action - so much so that we forget to ask what comes next.

Someone buys your brand. And then what?

Someone says "yes" to your sales pitch. And then what?

Someone follows your social channel. And then what?

Someone tries your service. And then what?

Someone signs up for your email list. And then what?

Getting people to buy, say "yes", follow your channel, try your service, or sign up is often the main objective. Asking "and then what?" helps you create a cohesive, thoughtful, and longitudinal experience.

Thanks for spending time with me in my workshop,

Eric
